Beverly Hills Hotel
Beverly Hills Hotel
The Beverly Hills Hotel is an iconic Los Angeles landmark which opened in 1912, two years before the city of Beverly Hills was officially established. When the hotel opened, its motto was “Guests are entitled to the best of everything regardless of cost!” Elmer Grey designed the hotel in a mediterranean Revival motif, and in the 1940s architect Paul R Williams remodeled it, designing the legendary Crescent Wing and reimagining the Polo Lounge, Fountain Coffee Room and lobby. The distinct pink exterior was first painted in 1948.
Famous guests of the hotel include Marilyn Monroe, Marlene Dietrich, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor and many more.
