Unframrd

Created in the 1960s El Salsero, or “La Salsa Man” is one of thousands of fiberglass sculptures found along the highways of the U.S. called “Muffler Men”. Originallly made for a Frosty Freeze in Malibu, he was later changed into the statue we know today when the restaurant was sold in 1988 to La Salsa Mexican Restaurant. Artist Bob “Daddo O” Wade was hired to change him from the soda jerk, into the Salsa Man by taking the Hamburger he was holding and cutting it in half,  using half for the sombrero, and the other half for the tray of Mexican food.
