The legendary Troubadour opened in 1957, and is a West Hollywood music venue that has played a crucial role in launching the careers of such artists including Elton John, James Taylor and Tom Waits. It was opened by Doug Weston as a coffee house on La Cienega Blvd, then relocated to its current location on Santa Monica Blvd. In August, 2024, Elton John celebrated his 50th anniversary of playing the venue.
